GRACE-BASED PARENTING

Tim Kimmel's Grace-Based Parenting currently provides the majority of the curriculum used.

Tim Kimmel's series spans three books and three video series.  HOME FRONT mostly uses the bulk of the first series with a few pieces borrowed from the other two (Building Character and Aiming at True Greatness).

IT STARTS AT HOME

We also use Matt Chandler's talk on a Legacy of Faith, found in Faith: It Starts at Home.

Matt's explanation of our role as parents, and where we must begin in our approach to parenting is an excellent way to frame our discussions.  The rest of the series here is great, but we focus on the one talk for HOME FRONT.

STICKY FAITH

Also, we use concepts and understandings from Kara Powell's work, Sticky Faith.

We use one of Kara's videos on applying the Sticky Faith approach in parenting, but we do recommend reading her original book.  It is a completely different way of looking at how parents/ families partner with the church and look at building community in supporting children as they move towards adulthood.
